hevesle ikinci anadalım olarak başladığım ancak daha ilk dönemde sıkıldığım bölüm. evlenmeyi bekleyen kadınlar ve askerlikten kaçan erkekleri bünyesinde uzun süreler barındıran sıcak bir yuva resmen. sınavlarda ders notları ve kitapları kullanmanın serbest olduğu pek çok ders mevcut. dolayısıyla derse devam etmeniz bile gerekmiyor. azıcık da okumaya ve edebiyata (sadece roman vs. değil; ne bileyim bir yapısökücü eleştiri kuramı ya da modernizm gibi şeylere aşinaysanız eğer)meraklıysanız hiç kasmadan üç senede cillop gibi ortalamayla mezun olabileceğiniz bölüm. bilgi üniversitesi’nde ikinci yabancı dilin zorunlu olmaması ve farklı ülkelerin edebiyatları üzerinde uzmanlaşmanın zorunlu tutulmaması, ileride yurtdışında bir master veyahut doktora yapmaya kalktığınızda önünüzde engel oluşturacaktır. bir harvard karşılaştırmalı edebiyat doktorası için ingilizce dışında iki yabancı dile (biri avrupa diğeri doğu dillerinden olacak şekilde) ve en az 2 eski dile (latince, yunanca, arapça, ibranice; ve en azından konuşulamasa da temel metinleri anlayacak düzeyde bilinmeli) hakim olmanız bekleniyor. üstüne üstlük en az iki farklı ülkenin edebiyatı ve belli dönemleri üzerinde (misal 18.yüzyıl fransız edebiyatı ve post modern italyan edebiyatı gibi) yetkin olmanızı bekliyor. bütün bunlar göz önünde bulundurulursa, (osmangazi’yi katmıyorum onların sistemi bilgi’den farklı ve anladığım kadarıyla daha bir harvard beklentilerini karşılayacak düzeyde) kültürel çalışmalara daha yakın ve yetersiz kalan bölümcük.

orijinali playstation veyahut xbox için üretilmiş oyunları oynamaya kalktığınızda, grafikler yetersiz kalıyor. ancak nintendo oyunlarını oynarken (guitar hero, trauma center vb.) çılgınlar gibi eğleniyorsunuz. oyun konsollarında aradığınız grafik kalitesi ve ciddi ciddi oyun oynamaksa tercih etmek doğru olmaz. ama benmim gibi çocukluğunda atari salonunda kafayı sıyıranlardansanız en az o günlerdeki gibi keyif alabilirsiniz.

debutleri "the back room" ile 2006 mercury prize’a aday gösterilen, abd’de de ingiltere’de olduğu gibi büyük yankı yaratan indie rock grubu. sadece iki sene sonra 2007’de çıkardıkları "an end has a start" abd ve ingiltere listelerinde bir numaraya ulaşmayı başardı. interpol, joy divison ve franz ferdinand karışımı tarzları demek yeterli olamaz. bunlardan etkilendikleri kesinlikle doğru ama kendilerine has bir "şey" katıyorlar ki müziklerine tarifi imkansız.

alternatif müzik adına müthiş bir radyo istasyonu. ingiliz aksanı kaparsınız en kötü. websitelerinden online dinlenebiliyor.

ladytron’un 2005 çıkışlık witching hour adlı albümlerinin en bilinen bir o kadar da güzel olan parçası. müziğinden çok sözlerine tutulduğumu eklemeliyim. yalnızlığı ve hissizleşmeyi mükemmel işlemişler. müziğin hafifliğine bakmamak lazım.
