kaldırma kuvvetine lift denir. uçagın üst kanat yüzeyi alt kanat yüzeyine oranla daha kavisli yapılmıştır. bu şekilde ucağın üst kanat yüzeyinden geçen havanın kat edeceği yol uzatılmıştır. akışkanlar prensibine dayanırsak hızlanan akışkanın yüzeye uyguladığı basınc ve ısı düşer, bu durumda kanadın üzerinden geçen havada basınç düşüşü sağlanır ve lift kuvveti yaratılmş olur.
