carmina burana -ki beuren’in sarkilari manasina gelir- 1803’te bavyera yoresinde munih’in guneyinde benediktbeuern kasabasindaki benedikten manastirinda bulunan ve tarihi 13. yuzyil’a dayanan metinlerdir, carl orff bu metinleri orijinal melodilerini kullanmadan bestelemis, 40 yasindan sonra bu sayede une kavusmustur.
