2008 yapımı steve mcqueen tarafından yönetilen irlanda ingiliz sorunu sürecini işleyen ve 1980lerde geçen gerçek bir hikayenin uyarlaması.hapisanede siyasi sucluların hakları ile ilgili olarak yaşananlar, mahkum ve gardiyan hayatları ve süreçte olayların açlık grevine kadar uzanması. izlenmesi pek kolay bir film değil. sarsıcı ve kısmen rahatsız edici. işkence sahneleri ve açlık grevi kısmını seyretmek psikolojik olarak oldukça etkili. rahiple bobby’nin konuşması sorunu açıklama adına oldukça etkili. izlenesi. ayrıca imdb puanı 7.8

"film irlanda’nın cumhuriyetçi askerlerinin (ira) 1981’de gerçekleştirdikleri açlık grevini yöneten bobby sands’in ölmeden 6 hafta önceki hapishanedeki dramatik günlerini ele alıyor.

bobby sands idam edilecek olmasına rağmen, uğruna hapse girdiği politik düşüncenin arkasında duruyor. filmin grev zamanındaki bazı sahneleri çok can alıcı.

ingiltere filmi olmasına rağmen cannes’da galası yapılan film izleyenlerden tam puan aldı. hunger kesinlikle steve mcqueen’in gerçek bir yönetmen olduğunu kanıtlıyor."

filmde bobby’nin(mahkûm) bir rahiple konuşması var 22 dakika sürüyor. bir tek orasında sıkıldım. can alıcı sahneler çokça.

thatcher’e neden kendi döneminde demir lady denildiğini anlamak istiyorsanız, izlemeniz gereken, oldukça sert sahnelere sahip, nefesinizi tutacağınız filmdir. özellikle rahiple olan uzun tirad çok dikkatli dinlenmelidir.
